WTA TOUR: Jodie Burraga knocked Ajla Tomljanovic in Texas after a victory over Peter Kvitova | Tennis news

British Jodie Burraga saw the campaign at the ATX Open in Texas, while on Wednesday, at three sets, Ajla Tomljanovic beat her.
Burraga suffered a 4-6 6-3 6-0 defeat from her Australian colleague, while in the previous round she beat Wimbledon’s double champion Peter Kvitov.
Burraga produced 11 ASs for monitoring 14, which she registered against Kvitovo, but could only turn one of the 10 breaks a day.
World no. 189 won the starting set by Tomljanovic in the seventh game, before a double mistake in the second fell in the second, while Tomljanovic used to draw a level.
It was a one -way traffic from there, while Tomljanovic cruised six direct matches to book his place in the next round after an hour and 47 minutes.
Elsewhere, Jessica Pegula prevailed Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-1 6-3, while Anna Blinks beat Tatjana Maria 6-2 6-2.
Burraga considered retirement last season because she was forced to miss for six months due to injury before returning in September.
She performed in the main draw of the Australian Open at the beginning of the year, beating Leoli Jeanjean before Coco Gauff knocked him out in the second round.
