A horse saved from an ice pond in Gornji New York


A horse trapped in an icy breeding pond in New York dramatically saved a team of police officers and neighbors from Frigid Water in rescue recorded on a camera.

The Bodycam shots from the Saratoga Springs Police Department show rescuers that fight the horse, named Sly, to get out of the water on Monday.

The rescuers grumbled soundly as they tried to pull it out.

“One, two three, pull!” And “Come on, honey. We have you!” They said.

Saratoga Springs Policeman Kyle Clinton arrived first and helped Slyy’s owner Ali Ernst returned his horse with a full head to the ice.

They were soon joined by others, including two other officers, neighbors and family members.

A group of nine eventually managed to get Sly out of the water. The horse managed to get on his feet within a few minutes.

He was taken to the Riddle Equine Hospital, where Ernst works as a technician.

Ernst said the Associated Press Sly was initially hypothermic, but that he returned home enough on Wednesday.

Ernst noticed three horses playing on the pond when she returned home from work, which was not uncommon, AP reported. When she looked again, she saw Sly falling through the ice.

Ernst called for help before running to grab Slyev Halter to hold his head above ice.

“I lost the battle to hold it above the water,” she said. “I threw all the rope into the hole and just started pulling him in the hope of catching my rear leg and I did, and we all just started dragging myself.”
