Jofra Archer left in disgust as Brydon Carse ran off after a horrific blunder
England national cricket team manager Jofra Archer was left extremely frustrated after getting confused with bowling all-rounder Brydon Carse in the second T20I of the five-match series against the Indian national cricket team.
A terrible mix-up between Jofro Archer and Brydon Carse resulted in the latter being run out at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai on Saturday, January 25.

Brydon Carse plays an explosive innings before running out
England cricket team batsmen once again failed to play well against Indian national cricket team bowlers. After a poor performance in the T20I series opener at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, a better performance was expected from the English batsmen.
But that didn’t happen as once again only Jos Buttler managed to do a good job. The England captain led from the front and scored 45 runs off 30 balls.
From the lower order, it was Brydon Carse who put in an impressive batting display as he played an attacking type of cricket and played a quick knock of 31 runs. He scored runs off 17 balls and his innings was full of 1 four and 3 sixes.
Brydon Carse’s innings ended on an unfortunate note as he ran out after a bizarre mix-up with pacer Jofro Archer. On the first ball of the 17th over, Ravi Bishnoi hit a googly, which Carse played towards midwicket and ran away.
Then there was a huge misunderstanding between the duo and a yes-no-yes-no situation was created. Carse turned and paused before going for another, when Archer sent him back. It was too late, however, as Dhruv Jurel’s accurate throw at the pitcher’s end meant that Brydon Carse ran out.
After the goal, Jofra Archer looked completely frustrated and his reaction was caught on camera.
Who were the best players for England in the 1st T20I?
Despite England’s defeat in the 1st T20I against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, skipper Jos Buttler and opening pacer Jofra Archer showed their class and emerged as the top performers for the visitors.
Jos Buttler scored a brilliant 68 off 44 deliveries. His innings included eight fours and two sixes as he single-handedly anchored England’s innings.
Buttler held the innings after the Three Lions lost Phil Salt and Ben Duckett early in the innings and played some brilliant shots. However, with little support from the other side, his efforts could not take England to a big total.
On the bowling front, Jofra Archer bowled an incredible spell, taking 2/21 in his four overs. He dismissed Sanja Samson and Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession. His pace and variation troubled the Indian batsmen and his spell briefly gave England hope of defending their modest target of 133.
Adil Rashid also chipped in with a wicket, dismissing the dangerous Abhishek Sharma after his explosive 79 with a wrong’un. Apart from Buttler and Archer, not a single English player was able to resist the strong Indian team, which led to a poor performance from the visitors.
