West Brom have struck gold on the £0 “explosive” star
West Bromwich Albion are seemingly finalizing their search for a new manager amid rampant speculation surrounding Raphael Wickyalbeit with the Baggies still going into their fifth game in all competitions without Carlos Corberan in charge today in the FA Cup.
This will be a tough test for the Baggies as they travel to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, hoping that early boss Chris Brunt could spring a surprise.
Away from the current managerial situation, the Baggies have also started to be linked with January additions on the pitch and this potential deal now looks dead in the water.
West Brom’s interest in Isaiah Jones
It looked as if West Brom would secure an early January signing in the form of Middlesbrough striker Isaiah Jones, with a bumper A deal worth £5 million supposedly on the table.
Now, however, no such deal could happen according to Express and Star journalist Lewis Cox, with the journalist revealing on his X account that ties between the two parties “wider than the mark”.
This could come as a blessing in disguise for those at the Hawthorns, with £5m a hefty sum for the yet-to-be winger register one goal or assist for Boro this season, as he liked City of Luton now run to the lead for his signature.
Moreover, if West Brom can keep hold of Tom Fellows throughout January, this development would make Jones’ move even more redundant, given the home ace’s heroics down Jones’ right wing so far this campaign.
West Brom scholarship player’s market value
After being under Corberan during the 2023/2024 season. thrown into the deep end once or twice, Fellows has since taken to the demands of the championship like a duck to water.

Of course, there will be plenty of joy in the air as Fellows continues to tear the second division to shreds, with football talent scout Jacek Kulig labeling his sensational results as “Explosive.”
But the big concern will be that the highly-placed poacher will table a significant bid for the 21-year-old at some point this busy month, with Everton have noticed earlier as an interested party schemingly looking ahead to the Solihull native.
Southampton the offer was even allegedly rejected last summer as they put together a new Premier League squad, while the Baggies are now bracing themselves for increased interest.
West Brom will take some comfort from the fact that if Fellows was to leave, at least he was a product of their own academy who they managed to grab for next to nothing, with an electric number 31 now surely worth many millions.

If rumors from past transfer windows are anything to go by, Fellows could be on the move The £15m mark this January, which would be incredibly more than Maja reported Estimate £10mand clubs are also sniffing around for West Brom’s top scorer.
It’s also £10m more than Jones’ valuation, with the Baggies no doubt expanding their horizons from the Boro striker if Fellows is sold.
Ideally, Fellows would stick around, but West Brom will know all too well how difficult it can be to keep hold of a top asset when bigger clubs start lurking.
