Man Utd eyeing Marcus Rashford swap for Napoli’s Khvich Kvaratskhelia
Manchester United have made contact with Napoli over a deal to swap Marcus Rashford and Khviche Kvaratskhelia, a report claims.
After losing his place in the squad under new head coach Ruben Amorim, Rashford was made available for transfer this month, but United have yet to receive anything but interest on the loan from parties that cannot meet their financial requirements.
AC Milan dominated the headlines but Rashford could find himself on his way to another part of Italy as L’Equipe state negotiations with Napoli regarding the astronomical replacement are ongoing.
Napoli are rumored to be ready to cash in on Kvaratskhelia for the right price and are even said to be in talks with United about a possible replacement for Rashford, who is one of Antonio Conte’s targets to strengthen his attack.
Complicating this for United is the concrete interest in Kvaratskhelia from Paris Saint-Germain, who have re-launched their pursuit of the Georgia international since the summer transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano notes that Napoli are also in direct contact with PSG, who are proposing their own replacement. Central defender Milan Skriniar is listed as a potential assistant.
Napoli have offered Kvaratskheli a new contract but the 23-year-old, whose current contract expires in 2027, but he has not responded as he weighs up all the options available to him.
