After a vigil last year, marking 25. the shooting anniversary, Hochhalter said she was overwhelmed by her childhood with happy memories and wanted the victims to remember how they lived, not how they died.
“I truly managed to cure my soul from that awful day in 1999,” she wrote in a post on social media.
