Liverpool Confirm the Total Surprise Cost of Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool confirmed that they had paid a total of £ 9.6 million regarding the departure of Jurgen Klopp from the club last summer.
Klopp surprisingly stepped down from the role of managers at the end of the 2023/24 season, two years before his contract expired, while complaining about the mental fatigue he came from at the age of nine.
After Klopp, the doors are more than ten staff members, including Assistants of Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz and Vitor Matos, goalkeeper coach John Achterberg and Jack Robinson, Fitness Coach Andreas Kornmayer and recovery chief Andreas Schlumberger.
In their latest financial reportLiverpool confirmed that the departed group received a combined £ 9.6 million to cover the time left on the contracts at the time of Klopp’s departure.
The sum contributed to the loss before taxation of £ 57 million for Liverpoolwho paid the price for the failure of the Champions League to reach the 2023/24 season. Playing in the Europa League alone has brought a drop in media revenue in the amount of £ 38 million.
Before Klopp left the club, he was able to qualify for this season’s Champions League. Under his successor Arne, the Reds are among the favorites to win the competition, with deep running, if expected if they can start in the last 16 conflicts with Paris Saint-Germain.
