Gary Sinise is as shocked as the rest of the world after learning about the death of his former star Gene Hackman, Hackman’s wife Betsy and their dog.
AND Sheriff’s Santa Fe district (New Mexico) They told Fox News Digital early on Thursday morning, “February 26, 2025, around 1:45 pm, Sheriff Santa Santa Fra Sheriffs were shipped to Old Sunset Trail at Hyde Park, where Gene Hackman, 95 and his wife Betsy Arakawa, 64, and a dog, and a dog.”
Sinise, who worked with Hackman in “The Quick and the Dead” from 1995, “ Fox News Digital said that he woke up early Thursday and immediately saw the news of Hackman’s death. The “CSI: NY” star had a few questions.

“He’s 95 years old, but his wife was in the 60s. So, as, what’s going on there? You know, something happened and wasn’t he good?” Sinise wondered.
“It just seems very strange that their dog doesn’t have. You know, like, what did they do … what happened?”
“I think he painted. He worked a lot and lived a quiet life in Novi Mexico.”
The Santa Fe district Santa Sheriff revealed that the autopsy was completed at both Hackman and his wife. No outer trauma was seen in either an actor or his music wife. Authorities continue to investigate the death of the couple as the official results of the report of autopsy and toxicology are still ongoing.
Sinise shared that after retirement he did not stay in touch with Hackman, but was aware of his “quiet life” in Novi Mexico with his wife.

“I know he once withdrew to New Mexico, he was retired. He didn’t want to get back and get any rewards or, you know, go to any Hollywood events or something. He finished and started from that part of his life,” Sinise told Fox News Digital.
“I think he painted. He worked a lot and lived a quiet life in Novi Mexico.”
Sinise said Hackman was always one of his role models.
“I just loved his approach. I loved his person. I loved everything about him. And how time it would go through, it was just like Gene never succeeded. He could be in a movie that could be less successful than the previous one or anything. But Gene Hackman was always extraordinary,” he said.

“I mean, he simply never called it. He was just a really good actor who modeled. I just wanted to be like Gene Hackman, you know, not that I ever turned out to be Gene Hackman, but then I had something to strive for, and he was among my favorite.”

Sinise’s last project, “Brothers after the war”, is a documentary about Iraqi war veterans. The project reunits the creator of the film, Jake Rademacher, with his brothers after the war in the Middle East.
Sinise, who is an executive producer in the film, said Rademacher decided to reunite with his brothers for 10 years after he made his first documentary “Brothers in the War”.

Sinise told Fox News Digital that his foundation wanted to help as many members of the service as possible through the production of this documentary.

“Soldiers and members of the service returning from the war and have a difficult time, it can be very difficult. And we all know the difficulties we had with suicide in the military and all that. We want to provide as many healing and healing service as possible, the Gary Sinise Foundation, for the possible members of our service,” he said.

“And I think” brothers after the war “can have a lot to do with our service members to open up to what they really feel, what they went through.
