R&B artist nominated by Grammy Angie Stone died after a car accident, according to the US media.
“The voice and spirit of Angie Stone will forever live in the hearts of the one she touched,” a spokesman for the singer for CNN said.
Stone, 63, was mortally injured when he traveled to Alabama early Saturday after the performance, according to reports.
The artist, who stood behind songs like no More Rain (in this cloud) and I wish I didn’t miss you, was nominated for three Grammy during her career. It began in the 1970s as a member of a female hip-hop trio.
