Yolanda Marodi was previously charged with murder in 2000 in San Bernardino district for allegedly stabbing a man to death Local CBS8 station. She later declared herself guilty of voluntary murder and was sentenced to 13 years and eight months in prison, according to the station. She was in prison from February 2004 to November 2013.
Rebecca Marodi served for over 30 years with Cal Fire, mostly in Riversida County, starting as a volunteer in Moreno Valley. Recently officials confirmed that helped fight Eaton fire.

Cal Fire Riverside also acknowledged Marodi’s death and said her passing was “a deep loss”.
“Her legacy of mentoring, services and dedication will be felt for years to come. Passing is a deep loss towards their family, friends and everyone who had a privilege to work with her,” the department wrote in a statement about their Facebook page.
According to posts on social media, Rebecca and Yolanda Marodi seemed to have been together since 2022.
