The collision caused a political discussion of X, and Schumer pointed his finger at Trump for what happened. In a row of posts, he stated: “I am grateful that all in the flight incident in Toronto who started from Minneapolis is safe, but we continue to see these incidents day by day. In the meantime, Trump is doing huge release on the FAA – including security experts – and the sky make up less and less safe. ”
“Democrats fight to protect the flying public,” he added. In the next post, Schumer wrote: “To those who asked if it was important that the destination of the aircraft was in Canada: the flight took off from Minneapolis. Schumer’s posts on social media came after Trump blamed FAA standards for a bidder for a deadly collision between American Airlines and a military helicopter in which he killed 67 people at the National Airport Ronald Reagan Washington last month.
Leavitt repeatedly pushed the senators back and dissected his claims. She began noting that the Canadian air traffic controllers were responsible for directing the aircraft at the time of the collision.
In an interview with the “American Reports” associate John Roberts, she said, “and as you rightly pointed out, John, this collision unfortunately happened in Canadian airspace with Canadian air traffic controllers who oversee him.”

She then challenged the point of Trump releasing FAA officials. “And the facts about FAA are that the secretary Duffy or the new administration has not released any air controller. Part of the FAA,” she claimed.
“And President Trump has signed a very strong executive command to ensure that FAA and all agencies of the Federal Government have focused on merit and employment based on skills,” she continued. “We want the best and brightest, most competent individuals in positions, especially public security in the FAA, the Ministry of Transport and all departments throughout this federal government, so we can best serve the American people.”
