“We are shocked by this incredible attack on the peacekeeping forces who have served in a difficult time to restore safety and stability to Southern Lebanon,” Unifil said.

Protesters said that the supporters of Hezbollah blocked the way to the only airport on Friday on Friday, after the decision of the Lebanese authorities to stop the Iranian planes to land in the capital of Beirut for the allegation of the Israeli army that Iran tried to smuggle the funds for Hezbollah using civil flights.

The decision led to the claims that the Lebanese government caught The pressure of Israel.

The Lebanese army said in a statement that the acting commander of the General General Hassan had contacted Unifil and committed to “working on the arrest of citizens who attacked its members and brought them to justice.”

The Lebanese State News Agency of NNA reported that the Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar invited to an emergency meeting on Saturday to talk about the security situation and describe the attack as a “crime against the Unifil forces”.

He also gave instructions to work on recognizing the perpetrator and referring to relevant judicial authorities.
