Hunter Schafer, a transgender actor and star of the HBO series “Euphoria”, revealed that her new passport was issued by a male gender label because of the executive command signed by the President Donald Trump.
Schafer, 26, posted a video on social networks in detail as described how she was her passport while she was Shooting in Spain. After receiving an emergency passport, she later had to apply for a new, permanent Los Angeles. Schafer, who moved to a female when she was a teenage girl, said she was identified as a female’s original passport, but the new she received marked her as a male.
Schafer said she did not post the video “Create Drama”, “Fearmonger” or “Receiving Consolation”, but because she thought it was worth noticing “the reality of the situation and that this was actually happening.”
“Trans people are beautiful. We will never stop existence. I will never stop being a trance,” she said in the video. “Letter and passport cannot change that. And F — This administration.”

Trump has signed an executive command“Defense of a woman against the extremism of gender ideology and the return of biological truth to the Federal Government,” on the first day in power. The command of the Federal Government to recognize only two sexes – male and women – based on immutable biological characteristics, which must be reflected on official documents, such as a passport.

Schafer confessed to the executive command in his video, Tiktoc: “Because our president, you know, talked a lot, I said,” I’ll believe it when I see it. “I still saw it today,” Schafer said, holding his new passport marked “M”.
The 26-year-old said she had female gender markers from teenagers on license and passport, although she noted that her birth certificate had not been modified.
“It doesn’t really change anything about me or my transfert. However, it makes my life a little more difficult,” Schafer said in the video, saying he had to travel with a new passport for the first time next week.

“Trans are beautiful. We will never stop existence. I will never stop being a trans. Letter and passport cannot change that,” she concluded.

ACLU said that more than 1,500 transgender people or family members were contacted, “many with passport applications suspended or in progress, which are concerned about being able to get passports that reflect their identity exactly.”
