The plane captures fire at an air exhibition in Texas, 1 person injured: reports

Airplane lit during an air exhibition in Laredo, TexasOn Sunday, leaving one person injured.
The incident happened shortly before 1pm on International Airport of Ladrowhere the aircraft participated in the WBCA Stars & Stripes Air Show Spectacular.
According to KGNS, only one plane is involved. The aircraft engine caught fire while in the air, but the pilot landed on the plane and the fire once turned to the ground.

The pilot, a man in his 70s, was transported to the Ladry Medical Center in a critical state after the incident. He was then transferred to San Antonio for observation.
“The aircraft had mechanical problems in the air and had to make an urgent landing,” said Ladry Hernan Martinez Fire Department spokesman for the Lode Morning Times. “The pilot suffered injuries, faces and heads, and the air will be taken to San Antonio. We stand on the protection of the pilot, and he will be taken to the hospital for further assessment.”

No other people were on the plane.
Larered police He said that Jacaman Road and the Barlett Avenue near the airport were closed because of the fire within the airport terrain. Police soon announced that the air display continued and re -opened travel lanes.

The Federal Air Force Administration is investigating. The National Transport Safety Committee also investigates.
This comes just a day after at least two people died when a small plane crashed shortly after taking off from the airport in Georgia.
