The best federal prosecutor in Manhattan, one of the most powerful figures in the US Implementation of the Law, ceased after the Order of Trump’s administration to give up on the persecution of New York Mayor Eric Adams.
Danielle Sassoon, a veteran prosecutor who took over the duty of the American Lawyer for Southern District of New York in December, in acting ability, resigned, according to a person familiar with the question.
Sassoon has increased for over nine years at the US Law Office in Manhattan, a part of the team that has secured a condemnation and a 25-year prison sentence of FTX founder Sam Bankman, who charged accusations of theft of billions in assets from clients on the exchange of cryptocurrencies.
The US Ministry of Justice ordered the Manhattan office to stop the prosecution of Adams, who was charged last year of accepting illegal contributions for external campaigns and official services on behalf of the Turkish government.
Adams said earlier, “I follow the rules of the campaign and follow the law.”
Jay Clayton, who led the US Securities Commission during the first Trump administration, was nominated for the management of the Manhattan Prosecutor’s Office but has not yet confirmed the US Senate.
