Investigators added that Jones also had obvious burns on his arm.
Officials have confirmed that Jones is a former boyfriend of Michigan women who has been internet with a male resident in Bensalem’s house since 2023. However, the motive for the fire is still explored.
Court documents obtained by Fox 29 Philadelphia Say Jones was to drive his ex -girlfriend to meet the man he communicated with in Bensalem, a local hotel in the near future. Instead, investigators say he drove himself to Bensalem with “killer intentions”.
“He drove more than 730 miles, 11 o’clock, to do what he did, then drove directly home,” McVey said during a press conference.

Officials said Jones was charged with six points of attempted murder, underfloor and related acts. Currently awaits extradition back to Pennsylvania.
According to Goofundme, family, identified as “Andrew and Stacy Zalenski, along with their two children, Alex and Ava and Stacy’s parents, Joe and Karen Wendowski, lost everything.”
“Members of our family are currently going through a terrible time in their lives. If you have animals, you know that they are part of your family and they have thought of this family,” the post reports.
“Stacy tried to do everything she could to save them, risking her life by returning to the burning house, but she should have jumped out the window of another story because she felt her losing consciousness.”
A member of the family who created the Goofundme page added that the Zalenski family “has been through so much in the last three years, and Stacy has struggled with a long, difficult fight with cancer and has now lost its home.”
