The first round of Super League: Wakefield Trinity Battle at 14-12 Win over Leeds Rhinos for the perfect return to the top flight | Rugby league news

Wakefield Trinity was hard to fight to hang on to a 14-12 victory over Leeds Rhinos in Headgley when returning to the Super League from the Championship.
With a strong crowd, both sides went to the atrial start of the match, but Wakefield was at the top of the attack, new signatures of Mike McMeken and Tom Johnstone caused damage to the introductory 15 minutes.
They received the award for their efforts in the 23rd minute while holding the ball alive at the last, Max Jowitt supporting themselves to dive and then convert their own effort to lead from 6-0.
The evaluation gave visitors even more confidence, but it did not last long until Jowitt had its second, supporting a huge break from Jake Trueman next to Jake Connor that Wakefield 10-0 had put in the ahead of 30 minutes.
After another tried clogging, it didn’t last long until Trinity had no more points on the board through Mason Lino, but the nosorozi returned to the corner at halftime through Harry Newman and Connor’s conversion to the 14-6 trail on the break.
As the rain began to fall and the results did not move in the third quarter, Trinity suffered failure because Lino was sent to a sin bucket for a high problem, but they survived the Leeds attack and returned to 13 on the field without no more points on the field panel.
At the moment of dying, I was able to switch Lisone and Connor turned it to achieve a grade at 14-12, but Wakefield managed to stay and finish a huge victory to get back to the Super League on the electric start.
