San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie ordered city employees to return to the office for at least four days a week, as set in the letter on Tuesday. Liberal city joins local leaders across the country who have asked their employees to withdraw hybrid schedules since then President Donald Trump took over the office.
Lurie, the new mayor committed to shake San FranciscoHe said that work “provides critical operational benefits to the city” that will improve the effectiveness of the Government.
“The return of our workers to the office will make our services more effective and responding to our residents. This is what San Franciscan expects and what Mayor Lurie will deliver. We look forward to working with our partners in all departments and in the coming weeks to implement the mayor’s plan,” said Lutak, a statement of Lurieu.
In the record of the heads of the department, Lurie said that 70% of San Francisco employees are currently working in person for five or more days of the week, and the remaining 30% works in the office three days a week. Lurie instructed the employees to return to the office as soon as possible to at least four days a week with a “target date 28. April for complete implementation”.

The memoranda states that working in the office uses performance, communication and cooperation, and will be available to more employees to provide San Francisco.

While San Francisco employees are expected to return to the office, employees in California can still follow a hybrid schedule. The governor’s office did not comment on the Lurie Memorandum until the deadline for this article.

Lurie’s return order to work coincides with his plans to revive San Francisco. He employed the cleansing of San Francisco Street, improvement of public security, solving the city’s drug crisis, creating housing, breaking the corrupt bureaucracy and “breathing of life into our center.”
On Tuesday, Lurie announced an agreement with the Supervisor Committee on the legislation on the converting of empty offices at the San Francisco Center into a new residence. Legislation will allow the City to break through the Red Librack regulations that make it difficult to start the “Project Conversion of the Office on accommodation”.
“Converting empty offices into housing will help launch our recovery in the city center, creating new homes for San Francisco,” Lurie said. “This is a gain for our city thanks to the new era of cooperation at the City Hall, so we can create successful, 24/7 in the city center that uses both residents and business.”
The Mayor’s Office said that the new legislation would reduce the developmental costs of converting office space and expanding the deadlines for a program that would make it easier to obtain zoning and construction permits.

Earlier this month, Lurie started San Francisco Police Directorate (SFPD) Hospitality Working Group to increase the presence of police in San Francisco’s business and tourist districts and dedicated to multiple resources with high traffic areas.

San Francisco also adopted a decree on the urgent state of fental this month, which will provide resources “to remove the drug from the street and keep San Francisco” by increasing the capacity of shelters, expanding health initiatives and unlocking agents for enlarged treatment options.
