Former India player Aakash Chopra said that Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) depends on the players of England in the Indian Premier League season (IPL) 2025. Aakash Chopra expressed concern about the performances of English blows at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which would take care of RCB fans.
The royal challengers will take over the Knight Riders (KKR) champion defenders in the introductory match in Eden Gardens on March 22. KKR dominated RCB in both leagues in the IPL 2024 meetings. They secured a win of seven Wickket in Bengalur and registered a win in Kolkat.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said that the early exit of England from the champion trophy and insidious performances by Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell reasons for concern among RCB fans.
“Salt, Livingstone, Bethell, England – RCB fans are worried about what is happening. England is out there (from champion trophies 2025) and could English dough save this time? Their question is absolutely original. If the trio would bring out like this, what would happen to them?” Chopra said (0:01).
The Tim Bengalur was provided by Liam Livingstone (8.75 Crown), Phil Salt (₹ 11.50 Crown) and Jacob Bethell (₹ 2.60 crowns) at IPL 2025 auction. Bethell missed the champion trophy due to the injury of the knee, while Livingstone and Sol is weaker. Salt scored 22 rides, while Livingstone managed to have 24 driving.

The former Indian opener said the royal challengers could include the team of David and Josha Hazlewood as two of their four foreign players. Chopra said Hazlewood could be available for the IPL 2025 season.
“The question is that you have played all your punts on England players. You have a team of David. You can play it. Nobody knows anything about the availability of Josh Hazlewood from now on, although the little bird told me he would become available,” Chopra remarked.
Josh Hazlewood and Tim David were signed for ₹ 12.50 crowns and ₹ 3 crore. RCB also added Romario Shepherd (₹ 1,50 Crown), Nuwan Thushara (₹ 1,60 Crown) and Lungi Ngida (₹ 1 Crown) in its foreign list.

Aakash Chopra hoped that Phil Salt would regain his shape, but he added that Wickeke’s hunting had been fighting since he had signed him to Royal Challengers Bengalur. He said the salt was in a big touch for a year, including his stay from Kolkat Knight Riders, but his shape was suddenly dipped.

Phil Salt was a key player for Kolkat Knight Riders in their IPL 2024 campaign won the title. He was their second highest run scorer, collecting 435 rides in 12 games per impressive rate of 182, including four half a century. However, Kkr did not keep him despite his contribution.
