President Donald Trump says the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) could reduce 65% of employees
President Donald Trump Tucked on Wednesday that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) could be the next agency on the chopping block as its administration continues to reveal new cuts to the Federal Government.
Trump told reporters on Wednesday during the first meeting with his cabinet that Epa Lee Zeldin’s administrator watches Reduction of 65% of federal agency employees.
“I spoke with Lee Zeldin, and he thinks he will reduce 65 percent of the environment, and at the same time we will speed up the process,” Trump said. “He had a lot of people who did not do their job, were just a obstruction and a lot of people who didn’t exist.”

Trump also suggested that the Department of Education could face steep cuts while renewing calls to move education back to states. Trump historically hinted that he was fully considering closing the agency through an executive order, although article II of the Constitution prescribed the approval of the congress in order to fully eliminate the Federal Agency.
“We reduce the government … We are swollen, we are uncomfortable,” Trump said on Wednesday.
The EPA and White House Office did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital comment.
Trump’s remarks come as its administration and the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) led by space and Executive Director Tesla Elon Musk They want to dramatically reduce the size of the federal government and labor.
Director of the Office for Management and Budget (OMB) Russell Vouight and the acting director of the Staff Management Office (OPM) Charles Ezell issued a dopic on Wednesday that agencies are instructions for “reduction in large proportions” and establishing a reduction plans by mid -March.

Likewise, Musk said on Wednesday that Doge tries to preserve a job for anyone who is a key worker and is done well, but warned that those who cannot lose their jobs.
The White House on Tuesday announced that one million federal workers were in accordance with Musk with a productivity requirement and that employees should look for their individual agency for the guidelines on how to proceed.
