Burkina Faso has launched a strategy for agricultural development to achieve food sovereignty by 2025.
Between climate change, growing prices and security threats, Burkina Faso has an urgent need to develop sustainable food sovereignty. In response to this challenge, the Burkinabe government has launched an “agricultural offensive”, which aims to reduce food imports that have burdened foreign reserve and everything, from farmers to the residents of the city. Throughout the country, we meet local farmers and cooperatives who have received support, while experts are thinking about how the recent and current history of the country deposits the goal of an advanced agricultural sector, and in the end, self -sufficiency.
