Michael van Gerwen sends the form of warning to rivals: I am the world no 3 when I don’t play my best | News Darts

Michael Van Gerwen may not have the main title in 2024, but the WORLD NO 3 mindset remains very strong, and the Premier League is now in full flow.
The ‘Green Machine’ had questions about its form in the last 12 months, and the titles arrived at a slower pace than otherwise for the three -time world champion.
Despite these issues, Van Gerwen is still among the best ranked players in the world and succeeded until the finals of the Darts World Championship before losing to Luka Littler.
Given that the Premier League is now a Dutch focus, Van Gerwen has shown an insight into a sensational game, his victory against Littler in the introductory dinner in Belfast.
While Van Gerwen admitted that he had not been at best lately, he was still important to win all the players of the big name, sending a warning to his rivals in what he could achieve if he once again hits his strongest form.
“I play in the Premier League for a while, so you perform in front of all these people, it gives you joy, gives you energy and it’s so nice in a dart,” Van Gerwen said.
“Many people, don’t have thoughts. You know what I mean? They just say they have a mindset, but they are weak as f ***. And so it is.
“You have to be honest with yourself, and when something is good, it’s good. When it’s bad, it’s bad and you have to move on, you have to deal with problems, and when things don’t go your own way, you have to work on it, and then you have to go forward.
“(Talk about my form) happens when I don’t even play my best arrows, so you could imagine if I played my best darts?”

“Win.”
And while a lot of players are lyricing about his favorite stops along the Roadshow Premier League, Van Gerwen has only one.
“The Night of the Finals. This is where the trophy will be divided.”
