Lando Norris warned that anyone who doubts Lewis Hamilton “is a little silly” on the eve of the possible battle for the Formula One title against the sevenfold world champion.
After ending last year as the winner of Max Verstappen, as the Red Bull driver requested the fourth crown of successful drivers, McLaren’s Norris enters the new season as a bookmaker to seek a maiden title.
Hamilton is also viewed as a candidate after his move to Fracbuster in Ferrari, despite the lack of consistency – especially in qualifying – during the last season of his 12 -year stay with Mercedes.
Speaking as the champions of the ruling construction, they launched their Challenger 2025 – MCL39 in Silverstone on Thursday – Norris Sky Sports News asked if she expected to see the revitalized version of Hamilton.
He said, “I would think so. I don’t know. Again, everyone is different.
“I think it’s okay what he does and what he did and leave in Ferrari. I think it’s very special. I think Ferrari is amazing.
“I feel like he would fight to find any reasons not to motivate himself. You know, it’s an amazing opportunity for him. It’s a handsome story.
“I’m sure there are a lot of bonuses with a lot of things that happen in Ferrari, so there are many reasons to be more motivated and ready to move.
“It’s Lewis and I think anyone who suspects him is a little silly.”
‘No excessive confidence’ despite your favorite tag
As for his status, Norris says he accepts him, but that he will enter the season without “excessive belief or too much arrogance.”
The 25 -year -old Briton requested the first four victories of his F1 career last season – including the last round in Abu Dabi – but in the end he finished 63 points behind Verstappen.
He said, “It’s a nice thing, so I appreciate all those guys outside and girls who bet on me, but I’m focused on this year.
“I felt good after last season. I felt like I wanted to continue after Abu Dabi. I finished the right note and knew I had to improve in some areas and some things.
“I felt like I had proved to myself that I had what it needed. You know, it clicks something and you simply feel:” Ok, I feel like I can do it now. “
“I definitely do not go in with any excessive confidence, you know, or too much or arrogance. All my life has told myself that I can’t and it’s nice to once said that I can and that the opportunity is there.
“I’m learning. I find new ways to motivate myself and feel right. It’s one of those things that come here go” I can do it this year. “
