I sat down and listened to me told me that the best course of action would be a double mastectomy as soon as possible. I asked all the questions I could, including if I could get a copy of my tumor ultrasound to put a refrigerator next to my baby’s ultrasound. Finally, by the middle of the night, I crawled on the floor of my apartment with a spontaneous birth, before heading to the hospital to meet my child, whom I would learn at birth was a son. “
