Seven years after suffering a huge stroke and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, former “Reba” star Christopher Rich returns to acting.
“I basically took off the last decade and if anyone should pull me out of the dark corner of the cabinet, it would be a red -haired,” Rich, who played his ex -husband’s MCENTERA’s ex -husband on Sitcom 2001 to 2007 to 2007. Fun tonight rural countries on Wednesday.
Rich will play a local tattoo artist with a distorted sense of humor about the fact that he had a stroke and cannot use his left hand in the new MCENTERA show “It’s a happy place.”

“It’s great to be able to be a disabled person and play a disability person,” he said. “I hope that when some of this comes out, the people I worked with in the past will say, ‘Ok, let’s bring it back. We can work with him. “
He said despite everything, he feels “really good.”
“After my stroke and brain injury, it’s like I’m hit by an atomic bomb,” Rich US Weekly said. “So everything is traumatized, which is a hard reset. After finally leaving the hospital, I moved again. Then I threw a bunch of blood clots and ended up in a hospital with lung embolism and debris on my heart.

“I needed a place I could feel sure I would really try and throw out this broken body again and they made a place,” Rich told Entertainment Tonight.

“I feel so bizarrely recovering from this brain thing that I haven’t even wanted to get out of my house for a long time, but, you know, they brought me back,” he told Entertainment Tonight of McENTIr, Peterman, and Mcentire’s boyfriend and star Rex Linn. “I would invite me to parties and reunion of things, football games, yes. I spent a lot of time with her and Rex’s place watching Longhorns.”
“There is magic here,” Peterman said of the chemistry between the three of them.

Mcentire also praised Rich for leaving again in front of the camera after the injury.
“It was not easy for him to come back and do it with a group that knew him for 25 years,” she told Entertainment Tonight, “but for him to have the courage to do it and make everyone feel comfortable – he had a stroke and He returned and gives such inspiration to other people. ”

Rich added: “I was ready for [quit acting,] But now I went back to the race. I’m going to the goal. Maybe I’ll have to get through it, but I get there. ”
In the past, Rich said that he had suffered an Easter morning hit in 2018, which made him difficult to walk, talk and use the left side of his body.
