Desantis supports the idea of abolishing property taxes through a constitutional amendment

Florida Gov. Ron Desantis He confirmed the idea of abolishing property taxes throughout the Sunshine state, but explained that he would need a constitutional amendment.
The governor, who is currently serving his second term after a decisive victory at the reopening of Florida 2022, responded to someone from XA who advocated the abolition of property taxes in the country and asked what should do this to happen.
“Property tax taxes are local, not the state. So, we would have to carry out a constitutional amendment (requires 60% of voters to approve) to remove them (which I would support) or even reformed/reduced,” Desantis noted.
