Contazant Classic: Jake Knapp sets Starry 59

Jake Knapp made PGA National Look like your average municipal course on Thursday.
The 30-year-old shot in the first round with 12 below, without any 59 Aware of the classic – formerly known as Honda Classic.

Knapp reached each Par-5 in two shots, and hit almost 70 feet with valuable birds on a Par-3 and 4s. He then drilled all six of his passages between 6 and 12 feet on a day.
One would properly assume that Knapp is a leader at the club house at the moment, and three are closest to him at eight below.

Knapp has one PGA Tour win under the belt – Mexico Open 2024, a year and one day to its 59; Last year, he competed in his first three major, finishing the T55 on Masters and missing the cut at the PGA championship and the US Open.
But maybe this could be a confidence amplifier.
