Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr was supposed to reach a free agency at the end of 2025

“The last few days, the front office, my lawyers, my agents, they met, both of them (sides) tried, but obviously we couldn’t reach an agreement,” Guerrero said through the Blue Jays camp on Tuesday.
“We never reached the point where I felt like I wanted to do a job.”
Blue Jays Director General Ross Atkins said that despite not being completed, the team still wants Guerrero.

“We worked hard and motivation is still there,” Atkins said.
“I am convinced that every thought, the idea we had – every dollar we had – said. But obviously we are disappointed that we did not do it. … that does not change our desire. We will surely be motivated and remain motivated.”
Guerrero comes from the star season, when he hit .323 with 30 run in the house and 103 RBI in 159 games.

If a four -time All Star repeats these numbers this season, he is prepared as A top free agent this year’s class.
If Blue Jays wrote at the beginning of the season, the team could potentially seek the Guerrera trade within a trade time to make up for some property instead of losing it at a free agency.
With his young leg and strong production, Guerrero will order a big salary at the free agency.
