The assistant judge who served in EFL and FA Cup matches should appear in court accused of sexual work of children.
Gareth Viccars is facing one charges of penetrating sexual activity with a girl, aged 13 to 15.
He appeared in the Willesden Misdemeanor Court last week and was detained. The following will appear at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on March 3, where a petition will be entered.
Officers for professional games Limited (PGMOL), a body responsible for trials in English professional football, suspended Viccars while the police investigation lasted.
It is understood that the 46-year-old has not served this season.
Spokesman PGMOL said Sky Sports News: “As soon as the allegations are listed, Mr. Viccars was immediately suspended.
“Since the matter is the topic of a permanent police investigation, we cannot comment on.”
