2 suspects, including a victim’s husband, accused of stabbing the death of a soldier Fort Campbell in Tennessee
Two people were charged with last year’s death of Fort Campbell’s soldiers in Tennessee, and one of the suspects was a victim’s husband, police said on Saturday.
The victim, the private American army of Katia Dueñas Aguilar, 23, gained 68 stab wounds on the neck and upper body, according to an autopsy report from the Montgomery District Office. Her body was found in her home in Clarksville, TennesseeIn May.
Sofia Rodas, 35, has been charged with first -degree murder and touching evidence in Aguilar’s death, the Clarksville Police Directorate said in a statement.

Aguilar’s husband, Reynaldo Salinas Cruz, 40, is charged with touching evidence in his wife’s death.
Both suspects were detained under unrelated federal accusations before being extradited to Clarksville on Friday and presented their sealed indictments in Montgomery district prisonAccording to the police.
The medical examiner ruled the cause of death by murder due to injuries to the sharp forces on the neck.

The case remains an open and active investigation, police said.
“The successful progression of this case emphasizes the critical partnership between local laws and military authorities in resolving serious crimes that affect the members of the service and their families,” the police said in a statement.

Aguilar, from Mesquitea, Texas, enrolled in the army 2018 before arriving at Fort Campbell, located on the border of Tennessee-Kentucky, a year later. She was a member of the 101th Air Force Brigade, 101 Air Force Division.
