In the qualifications for Big Bash League (BBL)|14, Sydney Sixers took upon himself Hobart Hurricanes at Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Perry was one of the key players for the Sydney Sixers in the first innings. After his brilliant assist in dismissing Wade, he completed his three-over spell with a crucial wicket. The 24-year-old conceded 29 runs, making an important contribution in containing the Hurricanes’ batting efforts.

Hobart Hurricanes record a challenging total
Asked to bat first, Hobart Hurricanes set a challenging target of 173/7 in their 20 overs. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Hurricanes posted a competitive total.
