Washington DC restaurants are joining the fanfare of Trump’s inauguration
Washington, DC, is preparing for the inauguration of 47th President Donald J. Trump on Monday, although extreme weather conditions pushed the swearing-in ceremony indoors.
Inauguration Day begins with that ceremony at noon. It concludes with the official inaugural balls, according to Destination DC.
Numerous restaurants throughout the greater DC area were inspired by the inauguration peculiarities and experiences to mark the event, they told Fox News Digital earlier this week.
WHAT’S ON THE MENU FOR DONALD TRUMP’S INAUGURAL LUNCHEON?
Here are some outstanding offers on DC restaurants.
Pair a burger and fries with a Diet Coke
At the Watergate Hotel, patrons can mark the inauguration at The Next Whiskey Bar to celebrate one of President Trump’s favorite whiskeys with an elevated note, the Presidential Stack.
This dish is a gourmet take on the classic hamburger, paired with golden truffle fries and a bucket diet coke for the ultimate bow to Trump.
Also available at The Next Whiskey Bar is the Presidential Bites Flight, a selection of luxurious small plates created to define the occasion.
Try black truffle sliders with wagyu beef, mini lobster rolls made with Maine lobster, caviar, yuzu aioli and foie gras.

Save room for the oysters with caviar, served with traditional utensils, and by all means sip champagne.
“In honor of this historic inauguration, we’ve created a menu that balances playfulness and sophistication, embodying the celebratory spirit of the Watergate Hotel,” Executive Chef Tony DiGregorio told Fox News Digital.
“From the sumptuous Presidential Stack to the select bites, each dish pays homage to tradition with a sublime twist.”
Enjoy whiskey, wine and culinary snacks
At Salamander Washington DC, consider booking the “Table 47 Experience.”
TRUMP AND HARRIS’ FAVORITE FOODS, PLUS OTHER NOTABLE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENTIAL DISHES
A special menu for two includes whiskey, wine and culinary bites from Executive Chef Walter Alvarado.
“Guests and locals alike can enjoy the Table 47 Experience, which includes rare whiskeys, wine harvest and expertly curated bites,” Alvarado told Fox News Digital.
“We are also pleased to introduce our Presidential Afternoon Tea, a tribute to the extraordinary legacy of our nation’s president.”
Prepare a 3-course dinner inspired by the presidents
New Heights Restaurant in DC’s Woodley Park neighborhood is hosting a culinary journey through history with a special three-course dinner menu, “The President’s Feast: Tastes of Inaugural History.”
Offered exclusively through the end of January, this meal boasts selections from the official menu served at congressional luncheons of past US presidents.
The congressional luncheon is a long-standing tradition held after the swearing-in ceremony.
“Since New Heights opened in 1986, we’ve seen seven leaders in office, so to create a menu of the same dishes enjoyed by past presidents is an awe-inspiring moment for me,” said Executive Chef Jose Molina.
“Cooking for others has always been my greatest joy – it’s the reason I became a chef – so I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this history than to give our guests the opportunity to enjoy these same iconic dishes,” he also said.
