Team India Star Dough Virat Kohli will play in the upcoming game Ranji Trophy 2024-25 in Delhi against Railways, which should start on Thursday, January 30th. Delhi & District Association Crickket Association (DDCA), allegedly approached Virat Kohli to take over the captaincy, but 36 -year -old dough rejected the offer.
Virat Kohli is scheduled to return to the game of the domestic cricken for Delhi after 12 years. This will be his first appearance in a home competition with a red ball since November 2012. The DDCA official mentioned that Kohli had informed Coach Sarandeep Singha of his willingness to practice with the team, emphasizing the valuable experience that this interaction would provide players in Delhi.
“Kohli informed Coach Sarandeep Singha about his willingness to train with a team. It will be a great experience for players in Delhi if I can spend so much time with him,” said DDCA official.
Virat is considered one of the largest captains of the test in history and is statistically the best of India. The last time Kohli Captain Delhi was during the Challenger Trophy in September 2013.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant, who had a tireless performance in Delhi against Saurashtra, will not participate in their upcoming railway game. Pant is advised to rest to prepare for the upcoming white ball season, including the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
“Panta plays first-class screams from Duleep Trophy in September. In the last three and a half months he has played 12 first-class games. With the champion trophy, he advised him a vacation to prepare for the white ball season,” DDCA officer told DDCA National Daily.
