“It’s just huge, and I think the president is really, really going to make health again,” said Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, president of the nonprofit Do No Harm, told Fox News as he addressed potential changes to the medical industry.
“I think it’s going to do three things. It’s going to have a huge impact on medical school admissions. First of all, it’s going to require medical schools now to be in compliance with … students for fair admission, the famous Supreme Court case against Harvard and [the University of] North Carolina,” he added, referring to the landmark 2023 ruling that banned the race “Affirmative Action” reception practice For most higher education.

“The other thing … it will have a huge impact on DEI issues in the private sector, so what medical schools and private medical societies and so on will do, it has to adhere to the fact that there will no longer be a DEI …,” he continued.
“And I think that, as important as it will be in medical school admissions, they will issue changes in accordance with the contract and the allocation of benefits that the federal government makes. Most medical schools and health systems are incredibly dependent on the federal government for their grants and contracts and this executive order says [there will be] There is no more of that activity in these grantmaking activities. “

Trump’s attack on the DEI mandate also saw all federal workers DEI placed on paid administrative leave with its offices closed on Wednesday.
The change comes as private companies like Walmart, McDonald’s, Ford and Meta have announced their own plans to roll back or eliminate DEI initiatives.
