India is a growing, key automotive market for Toyoda Gosei, where demand for products for safer mobility is growing. The company’s exhibition will therefore focus on safety systems, such as various airbags and other products that protect vehicle occupants and pedestrians. The exhibition will include a concept model for compact battery electric vehicles to showcase the company’s technologies towards the realization of new mobility around 2030.

1. Technology for safer mobility
Front center airbag
Installed next to the driver’s seat, these airbags prevent front occupants from slipping through their seat belts and hitting doors or other objects in side collisions, and reduce the impact when front occupants collide.
Hood actuator
The bonnet instantly lifts during pedestrian collisions, absorbing impacts to the head and other body parts by creating a space between the bonnet and the rigid components beneath it.
Illuminated emblem compatible with millimeter radar
These emblems combine metal coating technology and original optical design technology to provide both brightness and transparency to millimeter wave radar.
2. Technology towards the realization of new mobility
Flesby BEV concept
The spacious cockpit is realized by a combination of airbags, seat belts and a steering wheel that integrates gas, brakes and other work functions. The outer part has a sensor function that detects the vehicle’s environment and other technologies for autonomous driving.
