Tottenham have offered the chance to sign the “electric” ace as an alternative to Kolo Muani

While Randal Kolo Muani has agreed to join Juventus rather than complete a move to north London, Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been given the chance to sign the Serie A striker this month.

Tottenham transfer news

The Lilywhites are in desperate need of further reinforcements this month after welcoming Antonin Kinsky to replace Fraser Forster in place of the injured Guglielmo Vicario. Sitting deep in the middle of the table, Ange Postecoglou was forced to rely on secondary players such as Grandpa Spence, while forming impromptu centre-back partnerships with young midfielder Archie Gray.

With the January transfer window open, such circumstances simply must not continue if Spurs are to seriously return to European contention this season. From that side it looked like yes Kolo Muani was supposed to appear and provide an attacking boost before Italian giants Juventus swooped in and all but sealed the Frenchman’s signature.

Forced to look at alternatives, those in north London have reportedly been offered the Serie A striker who could yet use a move to the Lilywhites to rediscover his best form.

According to The Boot Room, Tottenham have now been offered the chance to sign Noah Okafor this month in a deal that would see the striker trade Milan for the chance to work under Postecoglou.

Tottenham will explore a deal at the end of January for the £264k-a-week PSG player

The Spurs have already tried to sign Randal Kolo Muani.

Still only 24, the Swiss winger has struggled since arriving at the San Siro in the summer of 2023 and could now be heading for the exit door just under two years later.

Like Kolo Muani, Okafor needs a fresh start and is therefore a risk. However, whether Spurs are willing to take the same risk on the Milan ace as they were on the PSG striker remains to be seen.

“Electric” Okafor could rediscover his best form in Tottenham

If Tottenham can secure either a loan deal or a bargain to sign Okafor this month, he would be worth the gamble. The winger has improved during his time at Red Bull Salzburg and a fresh start could see him rediscover that form. Arguably still not at the peak of his powers at age 24, there’s every chance Okafor could be revived thanks to his departure from San Siro.

Analysts called it “electric”. Ben Mattinson when he was first introduced as a Milan player, Okafor will be desperate to earn such praise again – perhaps in the Premier League.

With just 15 days left until the transfer window closes, Spurs must return to the transfer market and sign the attacking reinforcements they have been chasing this month.
