TikTok influencers regret the platform, burst into tears after the Supreme Court verdict: ‘F–k this country’
TikTok influencers regret the upcoming shutdown of the popular Chinese-owned social media platform after the Supreme Court upheld a law banning the app from being sold in the United States.
The app’s popular voice, Emily Senn, broke down in tears after hearing the news and said she would “never forgive” the US government for its actions against TikTok.
“I will never trust you again because you just took away the income and livelihood of millions of people, and who does that?” she asked on Friday morning.

Senn, who lost her job as a cruise ship singer during the pandemic, said TikTok has helped her financially and given her a sense of community over the past three years.
Madilynn Cameron, who accumulated over 1 million followers on TikTok and signed a petition to save the platform, asked her followers to stay “calm and hope” that President Biden or President-elect Donald Trump intervenes.
“We are a laughing stock to other countries,” she said. “Do you understand that? Everyone is mocking us.”
Many other popular accounts were devastated and angry at the news.
Popular social media star and content creator Kelsey Pumel posted a video on Friday titled “Goodbye to Freedom of Speech”, in which she questioned the government’s priorities.

“I still can’t get over the fact that the government literally cares more about an app that has not been proven to pose a threat that our country claims poses a threat to children who are literally alive [sic] at school, the health care epidemic, the inability to afford an apartment, the homeless. You know, whatever. Fuck this country,” she said.
Podcast host and influencer Alex Pearlman seemed confused by unanimous decision of the Supreme Court.
“You can’t agree that kids shouldn’t be shot in school. You can’t agree that women should have health care,” he yelled. You cannot agree that we should have health care. You can’t agree that fucking cops aren’t allowed to kill people with impunity. But banning TikTok? You all lined up and said, what is this about? The Chinese? Hey fucking mother.”
Supreme Court on Friday supported the federal law which would ban TikTok if it isn’t sold just two days before the bipartisan sales bill goes into effect.

“There is no question that for more than 170 million Americans, TikTok offers a distinctive and expansive outlet for expression, a means of engagement, and a source of community,” the court wrote in an unsigned ruling. “But Congress has determined that forfeiture is necessary to address its well-supported national security concerns about TikTok’s data collection practices and relationship with a foreign adversary.”
“For the foregoing reasons, we conclude that the challenged provisions do not violate petitioner’s First Amendment rights. The judgment of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit is affirmed.”

The decision comes at a time when President-elect Trump has signaled apparent support for the app in recent months.
