The Spurs have to drop 4/10 mulberry who lost the ball 19 times

Tottenham Hotspur were condemned to another misery Premier League defeat against David MoyesEvertonwith Ange Postecoglou watching in horror as his team lost 3-2 and were dismantled within the first half hour.

Iliman Ndiaye created chaos with a feathery dribble into the danger area, racing towards goal and shooting past new Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.

But the hard truth is that Tottenham didn’t undo even the slips and misses, but the culprit for the long streaks of awful football. Postecoglou will be feeling bitterly hurt after an injury-riddled season, but the performance at Goodison Park was inexcusable.

Apart from a spirited late effort (in vain), it was pretty bleak to watch, with inquiries sure to be held after the damaging defeat left Tottenham in 15th place. Radu Dragusinhe was again at the epicenter of the drama.

Rad Dragusin is having trouble again

Defensively, Tottenham were a disaster. Dragušin has been difficult at times this season, thrown into the deep end, but it’s hard to look past the 22-year-old’s lack of authority and resistance.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold He could only give Dragusin a match rating of 3/10, criticizing his role in Ndiaye’s 2-0 goal, where he was turned upside down and left in the dust by the Toffees striker. The Romanian was hesitant and uninspiring. Tottenham desperately need Cristiano Romero and Micky van de Ven to return from injury.

Play was stopped before half-time as Dragusin was treated for a cut after being accidentally elbowed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He eventually returned to the field but was unable to return and was replaced by Richarlison.

Having made four errors in his 15 Premier League appearances this season, Dragusin is clearly struggling to thrive in this Spurs system – or lack thereof. However, he is not the only one with a supposedly high class Pedro Porro looked gloomily depraved for the past few months.

Why Ange has to reject Pedro Porro

Porro is one of Tottenham’s most talented players but has certainly suffered from inconsistent form this season and his performance at Goodison Park is emblematic of Tottenham’s wider problems.

The scrappy nature of the Lilywhite squad has left the Spain international under a heavy burden, and while he looked weak and unconvincing against Ndiaye and Calvert-Lewin, it’s clear the 25-year-old needs a rest.

Porro avoided a low match grade of 3/10 but still had to settle for something less than desired, with Gold labeling the curvy right-back a 4/10 and writing: ‘Spurs just look so vulnerable from his side. He played more minutes than anyone and it shows.’

And Romero and Van de Ven scheduled to return in the next two weeksyou could argue that Gray is worthy of taking Porro’s place at right-back, especially when you consider that he has played more football than any other Spurs player in 2024/25 (2467 minutes).

It was another bad day at the office after being exposed even against lowly Tamworth a week ago. It wasn’t great this time either, he failed to dribble, lost four out of six duels and gave up possession an incredible 19 times.

To be honest, Tottenham may just have to hang on for the next few weeks and hope things settle down once the players start coming back from the hospital. One thing is certain, though: something has to change, and giving up Porro in exchange for the younger and more robust Gray could be a tactical tweak to get the Spurs back to something promising.
