The rematch of Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivolo and Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker will be live on Sky Sports Box Office | Boxing news
The rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivolo, in the hit movie featuring Daniel Dubois’ IBF heavyweight title clash with Joseph Parker, will be live on February 22 on Sky Sports Box Office.
Beterbiev, the undisputed welterweight champion of the world, takes on Bivol again after handing the former WBA titleholder his first professional defeat in October to unify all four major belts.
Bivol became the first professional opponent to go the distance with the fearsome puncher Beterbiev and is looking to avenge his controversial decision loss as well as a chance to win the IBF, WBC, WBO and WBA world championships.
At the same event of the season in Riyadh, live Sky Sports Box Office, Daniel Dubois returns to action after securing a convincing five-round knockout victory over British boxing superstar Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September.
Dubois became the IBF interim title holder for the first time when he defeated Filip Hrgović in June. His status was upgraded to full world champion when Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch against Tyson Fury on December 21 meant he had to vacate that belt.
Parker will be a serious challenge for him.
The New Zealander is a former world champion himself and has been pushing for another title shot with a string of impressive wins, most notably upsetting hard-hitting former WBC champion Deontay Wilder last year and then outpointing Zhilei Zhang to win the WBO interim title.
Two of Britain’s top light heavyweights meet when Joshua Buatsi takes on Callum Smith for his interim WBO title.
Buatsi won the belt with a decision win over Willie Hutchinson last September, while Smith, a former world super middleweight champion, bounced back from last year’s Beterbiev stoppage loss to Carlos Galvano in November.
Also on the card, Zhang will fight undefeated heavyweight contender Agito Kabayel for the WBC Interim heavyweight title.
Zhang is coming off a devastating knockout win over Wilder, while Kabayel is building on back-to-back triumphs over undefeated giants Arslanbek Makhmudov in December 2023 and Franco Sanchez last May.
Ilford’s Hamzah Sheeraz challenges for a share of world title glory when he takes on Carlos Adames for the WBC middleweight title.
Adames is 5-0 since his only loss, including wins over Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Julian Williams. Sheeraz had a successful year in 2024, recording stoppage wins over Liam Williams, Austin Williams and Tyler Denny.
Shakur Stevenson will also defend his WBC lightweight belt against Floyd Schofield, while Vergil Ortiz will risk his WBC Interim super welterweight title against Israil Madrimov.
Ortiz claimed the belt in August 2024 with a grueling majority decision over Serhii Bohachuk, rising from the canvas twice and winning on the scoresheet. Madrimov is coming back from his first career setback, a unanimous decision loss to pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford.
