The main star is going to be kicked out of The House of Black in AEW after a big report has surfaced? Analyzing the odds
The House of Black has been the dominant faction in AEW since its inception. The group won the Trios Championship and terrorized the locker room. However, things are not looking good for the group, especially with rumors that one of the members may be leaving AEW.
Malakai Black is the leader of the House of Black. He initially formed a group with Brody King and Buddy Matthews before adding Julia Hart to their ranks. Initially, the group found success in the company, but the last year has left fans wanting more. Due to their lackluster engagement, fans believed that Malakai Black might leave the company after losing to Adam Cole on the November 6 episode of Dynamite.
However, Black denied the rumours and even lashed out at fans for believing misinformation. Although he denied the rumors, Black has not stepped foot in the ring since Full Gear 2024, which raised many eyebrows.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter even reported it people inside Tony Khan’s company believe he has walked away from the promotion. So it’s very possible that AEW could book an angle where Malakai Black is attacked by his stablemates, writing him off TV as he’s leaving the promotion. The basis of the attack could be that the group has achieved nothing in recent months under Black and seems weak compared to other factions.
Buddy Matthews teased leaving the House of Black after losing to AEW Dynamite
Buddy Matthews has been with the House of Black since the very beginning of his AEW run. He has put on some incredible matches during his tenure with the company and despite his incredible skills, he is always seen as Black’s sidekick.
This week on Dynamite, Buddy Matthews faced Will Ospreay and came up short. After the match, Ospreay cut a promo and said that Buddy and King don’t have to follow the leader, referring to Malakai Black. After Dynamite went off the air, Matthews cut an exclusive promo saying Ospreay’s words didn’t fall on deaf ears.
“2024 is in the books, 2025 is now and upon us, and I haven’t started my 2025 the way I’d hoped. Especially leading up to the Grand Slam in Australia next month, but for years Will has heard my name, and years I heard Will’s Tonight, these names came together, and Will, even though you put a hiccup in my 2025, your words tonight. didn’t fall on deaf ears,” Matthews said.
It will be interesting to see if this could be the beginning of the end for House of Black.
