Spanish stocks rose at the close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.56% Investing.com
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, it rose 0.56%.
The best performers of the session were Merlin Properties SA (BME: ), which was up 4.94% or 0.49 points to trade at 10.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (BME: ) added 2.57% or 0.23 points to end at 9.01 and Bankinter (BME: ) was up 1.95% or 0.16 points to trade at 8.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Puig Brands SA (BME: ), which fell 2.12% or 0.37 points to trade at 17.11 at the close. Repsol (BME: ) was down 1.76% or 0.21 points to 11.69 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: ) was down 1.56% or 0.12 points to 7.55.
On the Madrid Stock Exchange, the rising shares outnumbered the falling ones from 109 to 82, while 25 shares ended unchanged.
Shares of Puig Brands SA (BME:) fell to all-time lows; down 2.12% or 0.37 on 17.11. Shares in Bankinter (BME:) rose to all-time highs; gaining 1.95% or 0.16 to 8.35. Shares of SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) fell to 3-year lows; It lost 1.56% or 0.12 to 7.55.
Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.14% or 3.84 to $2,682.44 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude for March delivery fell 0.89% or 0.69 to $76.61 a barrel, while the March Brent crude contract fell 0.90% or 0.73 to 80, 28 dollars per barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% at 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.84.
US dollar index futures fell 0.48% to 109.28.
