Sheffield Wednesday they have now submitted an increased bid to sign the “brilliant” midfielder, moving into pole position for his signature, according to reporter Alan Nixon.

The Saints are prepared to approve the 21-year-old’s loan move if they receive a more substantial offer, with the Owls’ latest proposal believed to be worth more than the Blades.
As such, a return to Hillsborough is the more likely scenario as things stand, and Wednesday will be ahead of their rivals in the race for the youngster’s signature.
