Ryanair cuts traffic forecast again due to Boeing delays Reuters writes
DUBLIN (Reuters) – Ryanair reported profit after tax for the three months to the end of December ahead of analysts’ forecasts on Monday, but Europe’s biggest low-cost carrier again cut its passenger forecast on Boeing (NYSE: ) delivery delays.
Profit after tax in the third quarter of Ryanair’s financial year was 149 million euros ($156 million), well ahead of a profit forecast of 60 million euros in a survey of company analysts.
That was largely due to a better-than-expected increase in average fares of 1% in the quarter, compared with a 7% decline during the previous quarter, Chief Financial Officer Neil Sorahan said.
