Real Madrid vs Las Palmas: Preview, Predictions and Lineups
Real Madrid are looking for a third straight La Liga win on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Las Palmas to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos have been busy since returning from the winter break, splitting their time between La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana. The latter saw them traveling to Saudi Arabia in search of silverware, but a bruises 5-2 defeat of Clasico rivals Barcelona in the final, he left a sour taste of the beginning of the new year.
Madrid returned to winning ways against Celta Vigo on Thursday night, albeit unconvincingly. They needed extra time to earn A 5-2 win in the Copa del Reystarring the oft-criticized Endrick as they reached the quarter-finals.
On Sunday, they continue their La Liga title defense as they face Las Palmas away. The Canary Islands side are currently in the bottom half of the table and have lost both of their games in 2025, with Madrid poised to capitalize and keep pace with neighbors Atletico Madrid in the title race.
Here 90 minutes a guide to Madrid against Las Palmas.

Madrid will be without magical winger Vinicius Junior due to suspension on Sunday, with the Brazilian ruled out of Madrid’s first La Liga game of the calendar year against Valencia. Luka Modrić is also serving a one-match ban after collecting five yellow cards.
Carlo Ancelotti will make changes to the team that endured 120 grueling minutes against Celta Vigo in midweek, with left-back Fran Garcia potentially unavailable for selection after picking up an injury during the Copa del Rey triumph.
Eduardo Camavinga is another new name in the treatment room with a hamstring problem, while Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are out for the season.
Predicted line-up of Real Madrid against Las Palmas (4-2-3-1): Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Tchouameni; Rodrygo, Bellingham, Diaz; Mbappe.
Viti and Daley Sinkgraven will miss Sunday’s affair, while Las Palmas manager Diego Martinez will also be without Dario Essug, with the midfielder suspended after picking up five bookings in La Liga.
Jose Campana and Marvin Park could miss the trip, but are not definitively ruled out.
Bizarrely, two Scotland internationals could play for Los Amarillos at the Bernabeu, with Oliver McBurnie and Scott McKenna both representing the club.
Predicted line-up of Las Palmas against Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Cillessen; Herzog, Suarez, McKenna, Marmol; Loiodice, Rodriguez; Januzaj, Munoz, Moleiro; Silva.
Madrid have been far from convincing for much of the campaign, but they should have more than enough firepower to conquer Las Palmas. Despite Vinicius’ absence, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham should carry the goal-scoring and creative burden at the Bernabeu with ease.
Las Palmas secured a shock away win at Barcelona earlier this season but look set to fail to repeat their heroics on Sunday. They are one of the top goalscorers in the bottom half and will fancy their chances of breaking through Madrid’s defence, but their backline issues mean they are likely to be well beaten in the capital.
