Planned Parenthood Chapter Gave Harris Campaign Workspace, Violating Tax Laws: IRS Complaint
A Florida chapter of Planned Parenthood reportedly violated its own tax exempt status providing workspace for the Harris-Walz presidential campaign, according to an IRS complaint filed by the pro-life organization.
40 Days for Life, one of the leading pro-life organizations in the country, filed the request tax administration complaint in December. It claims to have information about “potentially prohibited political activity that could affect the tax-exempt status” of Planned Parenthood Florida.
“This is one of the many violations that we’ve seen Planned Parenthood commit because we’re physically on this abortion facilitiesholding peaceful vigils and offering medical alternatives to abortion. And so because we’re out there, you know, in over 1,700 locations, we see a lot of the things that Planned Parenthood is doing,” 40 Days for Life CEO Shawn Carney told Fox News Digital.
Fox News Digital reached out to Planned Parenthood Florida several times, but did not hear back by press time.

“This was clearly visible. They were handing out flyers that said Tim Walz Tuesdays, which doesn’t sound like the best time in the world, but nevertheless, they were promoting all these events hosting Walt Harris campaign events and giving their space to do what, what, of course they didn’t for Republicans, and you just can’t do that as a 501c3. This is very, very basic.”
Last summer, Carney’s group filed a separate complaint about a mobile Planned Parenthood abortion bus that operated a few miles from the Democratic National Convention. On the first day of the DNC, abortion took center stage. Several speakers spoke at length about this being one of the central issues Democratic parties 2024 platform.
“Pro-abortion and celebration of abortion was a sad setback for the Harris-Waltz campaign, but when we submitted it, we got a response that they received it, and we hope and push Trump administration to open that investigation, because now we have two violations, both of which were clearly against the Trump administration and were very politically biased toward Democrats, which of course, as a nonprofit, you just can’t do,” Carney said.
The IRS’s 42-page complaint also alleges that “Planned Parenthood’s activities, in this case, are vastly different from permissible lobbying.”

“The provision of office space contrasts its tax-free privilege with a politically charged environment, serving as a clear indicator of political support or opposition to certain candidates and parties,” the complaint states.
