Personal terms are not an issue after Arsenal made a “surprise” move for the £44m star
Arsenal they are believed to be the main candidates to sign the “special” striker in January, after they approached the purchase of his services, and it is believed that personal terms will not be a problem either.

This leaves Arteta with Kai Havertz as his only striking option, prompting reports that Arsenal have identified a number of attacking targets potentially pass before the January 3 February deadline.
Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, Botafogo striker Igor Jesus and Wolves sensation Matheus Cunha all reportedly being considered as options by Emirates Stadium transfer chiefs, with reliable Fabrizio Romano stating last week that Arsenal are constantly calling in their bid to sign a new number nine.

“Arsenal is working on the forward position. Mikel Arteta has already confirmed that Arsenal is working on new reinforcements.” Romano told GiveMeSport.
“And I can tell you that in the last 24-48 hours there have been many calls from Arsenal to inquire about the situations of important players across Europe. So, Arsenal are exploring options for the forward position, let’s see what they can do. But Arsenal are certainly looking at it. So, a work in progress.”
Wolves’ Cunha is believed to be a serious target for Arsenal on their shortlist, but they can only sign the Brazil international on a permanent deal as they have used both domestic loan spots for Neto and Raheem Sterling.
Some reports suggest that the striker, signed for Wolves from Atlético Madrid for 44 million pounds after the initial loan, it could require nearly doubling that amount to sign this month (Ben Jacobs).
Arsenal sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves in pole position
However, according to GiveMeSport and journalist Dean Jones, Arsenal is the team in the best position to sign Cunha if indeed he leaves Molineux in the coming days.
Chelsea was named as the second candidate for the “special” South American, but it’s Arteta’s side who are currently ahead, after they made a “surprise” inquiry to sign Cunha earlier this transfer window.
Personal terms will not be an issue when it comes to tempting Cunha with a move to the Emirates, having explored the possibility with the player. The 25-year-old was actually closing in on better terms with Wolves, but they reached an impasse and Cunha insisted on the relegation clause.
Although these contract talks briefly halted Arsenal’s move for the former La Liga star, they are now believed to be the favorites for his signature ahead of Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Tottenham.
