Mohammed Shami injured again? Arshdeep Singh announces a colossal revelation
Indian cricket team player Arshdeep Singh has put an end to rumors related to Mohammed Shami’s injury. He said the pacer was fine, and as the ball came out of his hand, the 22-year-old appeared to be throwing the ball.
Indian cricket team manager Mohammed Shami has sparked speculations about his injury after not featuring in the Indian XI for the first T20I against the England national cricket team, which was held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Mohammed Shami did not play the first T20I against England at the Eden Gardens
Shami, who was added to India’s squad for the T20I series against England, was expected to return for the first T20I. The fast bowler last played an international match during the ICC World Cup 2023 final, which was held in Ahmedabad in November 2023.
Mohammed Shami has put in a lot of hard work after that and made sure he is fit before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He has been added to the squad so that he can regain his full swing ahead of the tournament and get back to his old best.
But his absence from the match against England fueled speculation. This was because he was even seen limping while running, hence one could assume that the team management did not want to rush him, especially with ICC Champions Trophy 2025 around the corner.
Just wait a few more days and you will be able to see that bowling and you will enjoy it a lot – Arshdeep Singh on Mohammed Shami
Arshdeep Singh spoke about Shami, saying that the ball is coming out of his hands quite well. He said the fast bowler would be back in action in a few days and added that he was bowling like a youngster. Speaking to Jio Cinema, he said:
“Just yesterday I was talking to Shami Bhai about the same thing because when he was bowling, the way the ball was coming out of his hand was absolutely incredible.
“Every delivery, you’d say, ‘Wow, how can such an amazing ball come out of someone’s hand like that!’ Wait a few more days and you will see that bowling and you will enjoy it very much. The way the ball leaves his hand makes 22-year-old Shami Bhai bowl again>”
Mohammed Shami is expected to play a role at some stage in the series
It remains to be seen if Shami will return to the Indian team for the second T20I against the England cricket team. The next match will be played on Saturday (January 25). The hosts lead the series 1-0 after a 7-wicket win in the first leg.
Shami is expected to play a role at some stage in the series. He is also part of the Indian squad for the ODI series against England and the team management would like him to regain his full fitness before then.
