Melania Trump wears American fashion designers on Inauguration Day


While President-elect Donald Trump As she takes the oath of office on Monday, many eyes will be on the first lady’s outfit designed by two American designers: Adam Lippes and Eric Javits.

Monday was no exception. Melania Trump stepped out in a navy blue tailored double-breasted coat by Adam Lippes while on her way to a service at St. Ivan on the day of the inauguration, writes Page Six. With it, she wore a matching boater hat designed by Eric Javits.

She completed her outfit with dark blue patent leather loafers and black gloves.

FOX Business reached out to Trump’s team to confirm whether Melania Trump will be dressing up before the inauguration ceremony, when her husband will be sworn in as the 47th president. He is expected to change at least once for the inaugural ball.

According to Style , Melania Trump relied on French-American fashion and costume designer Hervé Pierre to help create her outfits. But he said that he is not her stylist, but an adviser.

He previously said in an interview with Vogue that Melania Trump is “persistent” about being seen as an adviser.

“Who, as a free woman, is going to be told what to wear? It’s a conversation, a collaboration. Without intellectualizing, my advice is respectful and makes sense,” Pierre told Vogue.
