Melania Trump says she will expand ‘Be Best’ campaign, advises Trump: ‘We have a lot to do’

WITH President-elect Donald Trump Back in the White House in just a week, the winds of change are coming to Washington, DC

Future first lady Melania Trump is ready to dive back into the role she held between 2016 and 2020, more experienced with the process and eager to expand on her “Be the Best” initiative this time around. She discussed Trump’s transition and how she gives advice to her husband in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt.

“I feel like I’ve always been me the first time. I just feel like people didn’t accept me. Maybe they didn’t understand me in the way that maybe they understand me now and I didn’t have a lot of support,” she said. .

“Maybe some people see me only as the president’s wife, but I stand on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts. I have my yes and no. I don’t always agree with [what] my husband says or does, and that’s fine.”

“I give him my advice. And sometimes he listens. Sometimes he doesn’t. And that’s okay,” she added.

MESSY BEHIND-THE-STEP SCHOOLING IN THE TRUMP TRANSITION COULD SHAPE HILL’S STRATEGY 4 YEARS AFTER JANUARY

Melania’s “Be the Best” initiative, which focuses on youth well-being and advocates against cyberbullying, has become an integral part of her identity as first lady during Trump’s first term.

She plans to “continue” and “expand” the program, citing challenges she faced the first time around.

“I didn’t have a lot of support from anybody. I invited all the streaming platforms to the White House. I had a roundtable and I didn’t have a lot of support from them. And imagine what we could have done in those years if they would have rallied behind me and taught the kids and protect them about social media and their mental health.”

A behind-the-scenes Amazon Prime documentary detailing the life of the new first lady will hit theaters and on the streaming platform later this year, the company said in a statement. The film follows her successful memoir “Melania,” which topped bestseller lists after hitting bookstore shelves last October.

“This is an exciting time,” Melania said.

Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, making him the only other president to hold that office besides Grover Cleveland two terms that are not consecutive. Melania said that this time it will be easier to step into the role of first lady, since she has the experience of her husband’s first term behind her.

“I know where I’m going. I know the rooms we lived in. I know the process. The first time was challenging. We didn’t have much information. They confirmed the information for us [the] previous administration. But this time I have everything.”

Since the transition team was given five hours to evict the Bidens and move in the Trumps, “everything needs to be planned down to the minute,” she explained. For Melania, the changing of the guard means packing up, putting together a team and making the White House her home again.

Of President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden took the reins on January 20, 2021, the Trump family’s life has been turned upside down – criminal prosecutions, assassination attempts, and another run on the campaign trail to name a few.

Last November, Trump emerged victorious over Vice President Kamala Harris, sweeping all key states and winning 312 electoral votes. Now, the plan for his first 100 days in office remains at the center – with a focus on taxes, immigration and inflation.

“I think it’s going to be an exciting four years and we have a lot to do and get the country back in shape,” Melania said.
