Marcus Rashford’s latest transfer: Borussia Dortmund are trying to sign Manchester United and England striker | Transfer Center news

Borussia Dortmund are now trying to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, according to Sky Germany.

Dortmund has held internal negotiations and has now made the decision to seek the loan of the English international.

The Bundesliga side distanced themselves from a potential deal earlier this week, with Rashford said not to be head coach Nuri Sahin’s preferred target.

The expected cost – even subsidized – for the striker was reportedly marked as beyond Dortmund’s means.

That attitude seems to have changed now, but AC Milan are also very specific in their interests and are actively trying to secure a deal to sign Rashford.

Rashford’s camp have spoken to a number of European clubs this month to explore contract terms.

Manchester United’s preference is understood to be an outright loan move for Rashford, if they are to allow him to leave Old Trafford

Rashford was again left out of the squad for Thursday night’s game away to Southampton in the Premier League.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was asked after the FA Cup third round win against Arsenal last weekend if Rashford had played his last game for the club.

Amorim said: “I don’t know. We’ll see.”
